We also give stretching exercises to help you prevent the pain from recurring.
Any of the followings may suggest your headache could be originated from your neck:

- associated with dizziness or light-headedness
- worsened by neck movements or stiffness in neck

Dizziness vs Vertigo
Dizziness
Dizziness is the sensation of lightheadedness often vaguely discribed as “giddy” or “floating/on boat feeling”. There is a wide range of possible cause. This can be related to blood pressure, some heart conditions, medication, anxiety and even stiffness in cervical spine etc.
Vertigo
Vertigo refers to the illusion of environmental motion, classically described as “spinning”, “room moving” or “whirling”. This can be caused by labyrinthitis or vestibular neuritis, meniere’s disease, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) etc. BPPV can be tested and treated by our phtsiotherapists at East Brighton Physiotherpay Centre. Sypmtoms are usually short-lasting (under 1min) but intense “room spinning” mainly with position changes particularly rolling in bed and getting in and out of bed. With treatment, patients often feel imediate relief and usually cured after 2-3 sessions of treatments.
